He married Katherine Suzanne LAYNE (#3736) in Harris County, Texas on November 19, 2002.  Katherine was born in Houston, Harris County, Texas on May 10, 1982.  Katherine is the daughter of Jim Layne and Melanie Smith.

Derwin Robert Thomas Syzdek had the following family.

   i.  Lauren Elyse Syzdek (#3855) was born in Houston, Harris County, Texas on November 14, 1996.

  ii.  Riley Nicole Syzdek (#3856) was born in Houston, Harris County, Texas on January 26, 1999.
