Joseph died April 6, 1954 in Bremond, Robertson County, Texas, at 65 years of age. He is interred in St. Mary's Cemetery in Bremond, Robertson County, Texas.

He married Martha Sophie KUBIAK in Bremond, Robertson County, Texas, October 23, 1912. (Martha Sophie KUBIAK is #205.) Martha was born in Mexia, Texas, January 22, 1894. Martha died September 12, 1983, Bremond, Robertson County, Texas, at 89 years of age. Interred in St. Mary's Cemetery in Bremond, Robertson County, Texas.
