279 viii. JAMES HITE JOHNSTON ⁵(#1016)  LEWIS FLETCHER⁴ JOHNSTON (JAMES FRANKLIN³, GEORGE GREGORY ("G.G." OR "GREG")², LEWIS¹) was born in Randolph County, Arkansas, July 10, 1912. JAMES died January 25, 1990 in Sikeston, Missouri, at 77 years of age. His body was interred in Sikeston, Missouri at Memorial Park Cemetery.

He married NEVA MARGARET HARRIS  (#1836) in Randolph County, Arkansas on March 25, 1937. Neva was born in Brockett, Randolph County, Arkansas on September 24, 1912.   Neva was the daughter of Emit Thomas Harris and Ida Sago.  Neva died on September 6, 1984 in Sikeston, Missouri at 71 years of age and her body was interred in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston, Missouri. Neva is the sister of Nola Harris #1015.
