25. GEORGE HENRY³ JOHNSTON (GEORGE GREGORY ("G.G." OR "GREG")², LEWIS¹) (#946) was born in Purdy, McNairy County, Tennessee, July 4, 1837. GEORGE died October 31, 1859 in Randolph County, Arkansas, at 22 years of age.

He married MYRA REYNOLDS in Randolph County, Arkansas, on August 3, 1856. (MYRA REYNOLDS is #705.) MYRA was born April 22, 1838, in Illinois.  Myra was the daughter of Jackson Reynolds, who had brought his family to Randolph County from Illinois in the mid-to-late 1840's.  Myra died December 16, 1901 in Randolph County, Arkansas at 63 years of age.  Her body was interred in Randolph County, Arkansas in Siloam Cemetery

GEORGE HENRY JOHNSTON and MYRA REYNOLDS had the following family:

137 i. MARY J.   JOHNSTON ⁴ (#948) was born in Randolph County, Arkansas in 1857. Mary died after June 1860  and before Jan. 1877.

138 ii. LOUISA C.⁴ JOHNSTON (#947) was born in Randolph County, Arkansas in September 1858. 

Notes:  (1)   Myra Reynolds Johnston married Mr. William Ainley in Randolph County, in August 1860. They had at least 6 children including twin boys. Myra died in September 1901, and is buried in Siloam Cemetery. Her true given name was "Almira."

(2) Apparently, Mary Jane Johnston died young. She is not alive in January 1877.

(3) Louisa C. Johnston inherited her father's share of the estate of her grandfather, George Gregory Johnston, upon his death in 1877.  She married Mr. S. M. Rapert on September 11, 1879, in Randolph County.
