SAMUEL died September 21, 1947 in Randolph County, Arkansas, at 81 years of age. His body was interred in Randolph County, Arkansas, Siloam Cemetery.

He married SALLIE E. CARTER in Arkansas, July 14, 1889. (SALLIE E. CARTER is #874.) SALLIE was born February 18, 1869. in Mayfield, Kentucky.. SALLIE died January 3, 1950 in Randolph County, Arkansas, at 80 years of age. Her body was interred in Randolph County, Arkansas, Siloam Cemetery.

Note: Reverend Samuel Larkin Johnston and Salley E. Carter had 12 children. Samuel had a twin sister, Arena Tennessee Johnston.
