17 vii. SUSAN JOSEPHINE "JODIE" JOHNSTON³ (#812)LINDSEY² JOHNSTON (LEWIS¹) was born in Chambers County, Alabama, May 18, 1846. JODIE died October 30, 1876 at 30 years of age in Pontotoc County, Mississippi. Her body was interred in Pontotoc County, Mississippi at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

She married (REV.) JESSIE LOUIS HENDERSON on January 11, 1865 in Pontotoc County, Mississippi.  ((REV.) JESSIE LOUIS HENDERSON is #1398.) JESSIE was born in Alabama on February 22, 1844.  He died on February 1, 1940 in Pontotoc County, Mississippi, at 95 years of age. His body was interred in Pontotoc County, Mississippi at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Note:  Susan and Jessie are both buried in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, but not together. Susan died young and is buried in a lone grave.  Jessie remarried to M. L. (last name unknown) and is buried next to his second wife

SUSAN JOSEPHINE "JODIE" JOHNSTON and (REV) JESSIE LOUIS HENDERSON had the following children:

    i. VIOLA HENDERSON⁴ (#3639) was born in Pontotoc County, Mississippi about 1867.

   ii.  JOHN THOMAS HENDERSON (#3640) was born in Pontotoc County, Mississippi about 1870.  John died after 1957.
