He married Sylvia Ann Kloss in Houston, Harris County, Texas, on September 17, 1960.  (Sylvia Kloss is #1605.) Sylvia was born January 9, 1940 in Los Angeles, California.

Fred Wachel and Sylvia Kloss had the following children:

586 i. Carol Ann⁵ Wachel (#1761) was born in Houston, Harris County, Texas, September 2, 1961. She married David I. Kaplan in Houston, Harris County, Texas, May 29, 1988. (David I. Kaplan is #1762.) David was born February 28, 1955 in Southfield, Michigan.  Carol and David had a daughter:

i. Sarah Kaplan (#3830) was born July 1, 1996.

587 ii. Alan W. Wachel (#1763) was born August 23, 1963 Houston, Harris County, Texas.
